In an update to theterms of partial lockdown, the elderly as well as chronically ill patients willbe allowed to leave their homes for groceries, medicines and other necessities.Other reasons would need a special disposition given by the Superintendent ofPublic Health.

Deputy Prime MinisterChris Fearne had announced lockdown measures for groups considered mostvulnerable to COVID-19 yesterday, who were instructed not leave their homesexcept for medical reasons. This includes people over the age of 65, pregnantwomen and those with chronic illnesses and adds to around 118,000 people.

Police aren’t going topatrol the streets to enforce these rules, which means self-discipline andcommunity participation will be crucial.
